Description
𝟑-𝐲 𝐘𝐞𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝘑ä𝘨𝘦𝘳𝘴 Made up of "volunteers" the 3-y, or Viipuri Jägers, were sent to defend the Baltic areas. In 1812 an order by the Tzar for 2,400 Finnish Jägers that would operate on skis was given, but these were to be made up of volunteers. By October 1812 it was clear that most of these "volunteers" were men without any legal protection. Shortly after it's establishment, the regiment was designated to guard at St. Petersburg, but only after their 2 month guarding time was up they finally received ammunition and learned how to fire their muskets.
