𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐠'𝐬 𝐆𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝑻𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒃𝒓𝒐 𝒅𝒊𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒍𝒆, 𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒖𝒎 𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒆 hard drill, high skill Raised in 1803 the King’s German Legion fought as part of the British Army in all theatres of war available. After their initial campaign in Hanover, the Legion went on to fight in Pomerania, Copenhagen, Walcheren, Spain, Portugal, Low Germany, Ireland, and Southern France. They were considered as good as the best British Units, their Cavalry dominating the French in Spain. During the Battle of Waterloo, the Legion as a whole distinguished itself, most of them placed in and around the farm of La Haye Sainte, held it to the last cartridge, and almost the last man.
