The Houses of Parliament in the United Kingdom, also known as the Palace of Westminster, is one of the most iconic and historically significant buildings in the country. It serves as the seat of the UK Parliament, where the two houses of the British Parliament, the House of Commons and the House of Lords, conduct their legislative and political affairs. It is situated just west of Westminster Abbey and east of the Victoria Tower Gardens.
