Rest beyond the Aurelfrost Barrier, stands the Winterhold Castle. Once a forgottan castle of the old era on a harsh cold tundra, the castle is the home of the Regent Queen: Melisande, the Oracle; the Entombed Visionary. It is rumored that the Queen has been sealed away in her icy prison within her throne room for over a hundred of years, perhaps beyond it. Even as she was imprisoned, her loyal soldiers of the Lunar Eclipse remains unwittingly loyal in her absence, guarding within and beyond the Aurelfrost Barrier, unto the Aurealis Pass. The castle remains standing for whom knows how long, as it has remained untouched from the Avarus' reach. Rumors have spoken that you could still hear the whispers of the Queen lingering to your ears even as she laid imprisoned within her throne room.
