Description
𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐝𝐞 𝐂𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚 🇦🇹 🇹🇭🇪 🇸🇪🇷🇻🇮🇨🇪 🇴🇫 🇹🇭🇪 🇨🇷🇴🇼🇳 The Guardia de Cuchilla (meaning "Guards of the Blade") arrived in Spain with Philip the Handsome of the House of Habsburg in 1502. These elite guards from Burgundy are armed with glaive-type polearms like archa and halberds. Since the death of Philip, their purpose has been to secure the royal household and protect the Spanish monarchy. Unlike other soldiers in service to the Spanish Empire, these bodyguards answer only to the House of Habsburg and the Grand Captain of Spain respectively. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 🗡️ 𝐑𝐎𝐋𝐄: Heavy Infantry, Guarding 📣 𝐌𝐎𝐓𝐓𝐎: "Al servicio de la Corona" ⌛ 𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐏𝐒: Independent 👤 𝐂𝐀𝐏: 15 ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Part of 𝟭𝟱𝟬𝟬𝘀 | 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼 𝗘𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗹
