Description
During the First Chechen War, SOBR was a special rapid response unit under the Ministry of Internal Affairs. It was deployed to Chechnya to conduct high-risk operations such as assault missions, counter-terrorism actions, and the detention of armed militants. Unlike regular police units, SOBR detachments were directly involved in combat and urban clearing operations.
