Building upon diplomatic institutions established during the period of French administration, the ministry represented the Kingdom abroad and worked to protect Laos’s sovereignty and international standing during a period of profound regional and global tension. The ministry was responsible for conducting diplomatic relations, negotiating international agreements, overseeing Lao diplomatic missions abroad, and representing the Kingdom within international organizations, including the United Nations. ➵➵➵➵➵➵➵➵➵➵➵➵➵➵➵➵➵➵➵➵➵➵➵➵➵➵➵➵➵➵
