Description

The New Republic often referred to as the Republic is an interplanetary state located in the Inner Rim, where it spread peace among the galaxy having remnants of the Jedi Order and Resistance followers to regain the Republic they once knew before the Great Jedi Purge. The New Republic is most prominently portrayed as the rebirth or revival of the fallen Galactic Republic that was formed into the Galactic Empire after Emperor Palpatine carried out Order 66. The capital, hidden from the battle station of the Death Star, was hidden on the planet of Yavin. The New Republic is portrayed as a democratic constitutional republic that has sustained itself after the fall of its predecessor. The New Republic could also be referred to as the Rebel Alliance or simply the Rebellion.
