Description
The British Estates Police was formed from the British Estates Police Act 2020 (BEPA 2020), the Police Service is placed under the Crown and acts to protect Designated Sites. Our operational jurisdiction are within all Protected Sites including Defence Sites. However we do have legal jurisdiction and powers of a constable outside out operational jurisdictions. All Constables within our ranks have full policing powers. The Designated Rank for the Chief Officer of this Police Service is 'Chief Constable', other ranks of Chief Officers or Senior Police Officer are 'Deputy Chief Constable' and 'Assistant Chief Constable' Liability: The UK Sites Authority is the only authority capable of replacing, firing or hiring the Chief Officer. All other Constables are liable towards the Chief Officer or the UK Sites Authority.
