The Audit Office (Māori: Te Mana Arotake) is an office of parliament responsible for approving government spending and scrutinising the work of the public service in Aotearoa-New Zealand. Formed in 2001 replacing the previous Audit Department, the office (which adopted its current name in 2026) today operates across the county and is embedded in all levels of central and local government.
