O 1º Regimento de Cavalaria de Guardas, oficialmente denominado como Dragões da Independência, é uma unidade do Exército Imperial Brasileiro, cuja missão principal é guarnecer as instalações Imperiais além de executar o cerimonial militar do Império do Brasil, atuar em operações de Garantia da Lei e da Ordem (a cavalo), e manter as tradições equestres da Força Terrestre.
