The Midwest Republic is what remains of the United States Government. Forming from what little remained of the states from the Great American divide in the late 1920s, the Midwest is a collection of States from the bordering Great Plains to the tip of Maryland, the Midwest is second to none. With the CCU to the west and the Atlantic States of America to the north east, the Midwest is at constant odds with its neighbors and rivals, constantly fighting in a struggling feud to regain either lost territory or reclaim old US states. Though now as war kicks back off again in Europe and as the USSR backs the CCU.
