Description

For most of Antalon's history, there was no road network to speak of: the islands were connected by dirt roads and boats. However, after gaining independence in 1987, Antalon recognized its need for modernization and industrialization. With a growing number of cars that the population was now buying due to their liberty, the government created the Road Safety Agency, which was initially an advisory board of scientists, mathematicians, engineers and investors, but later turned into a fully-fledged department. By 2004, most of Antalon could be reached by car, and the construction of the largest underwater tunnel in North America was finished. It was an engineering miracle. The agency managed to get Antalon's road situation up-to-date and even surpassing some Western nations in a mere two decades. Still remaining the envy of the world, the Road Safety Agency continues its mission to expand, maintain and keep Antalon's roads safe and fun to drive on.
