Following his bravery and valiant command in the Battle of Jutland in 1916, Admiral John Jellicoe was made Viscount of Scapa Flow. He later became Governor-General of New Zealand and upon his return from serving as Governor-General, he was presented with the title Earl Jellicoe and Viscount Brocas of Southampton by George V in 1925. The 2nd Earl followed a similar career, having served in the SAS, SBS and reaching the position of First Lord of the Admiralty. Family Seats: Ventnor Hall (Isle of Wight, UK)
