Description
𝐑𝐨𝐲𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐬 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 Formed from detachments of the Tercio de Morados Viejos, it was the first household unit raised by the Spanish. Raised in 1704 to help guard King Philip on his campaigns during the Spanish War of Succession, overtime the unit would evolve to become more prestigious, with higher standards and the introducing of a requirement of all men of the regiment to be of noble birth.
