Description
The Royal Westphalian Army (Königlich Westphälische Armee) was established in 1807 under King Jérôme Bonaparte and quickly became an important part of Napoleon's Confederation of the Rhine forces. Organized along the renowned French military system, it possessed its own distinguished infantry, cavalry, artillery, and elite formations. Westphalian soldiers took part in major European campaigns, earning combat experience in Spain, Germany, and Austria. They fought at the Battle of Talavera (1809) during the Peninsular War and participated in Napoleon's campaigns against Austria and Russia. The army became known for its distinctive uniforms, disciplined regiments, and contribution to the Napoleonic military machine, representing the Kingdom of Westphalia on battlefields across Europe. Will you join the march for victory?
