Description
This regiment raised in 1671 by Louis XIV spent a huge time of the Austrian Succession War in Belgium and Genoa with its two battalions. Merged into 1 battalion in 1748, the regiment was sent to Minorca in 1756 holding the island until their transfer to the italian island of "Corse" It then garrisoned Ciutadella from 1759 to 1762 until they were called back to Perpignan in France.
