The SP&MR is a tourist railroad that winds through the Marillo Valley. The typical excursion starts down at the Marillo depot then climbs up to San Palomar. We operate over former Southern Pacific trackage. We own Multiple locomotives, our main locomotive being SP 2471, Its a P-8. This railroad is an Operations only railroad, meaning you can ride the train but not drive it. If you are interested in joining our team our communications is open!
