†SPECIAL BOAT TEAM 12† #568668706
Description
Special Boat Team 12 (SBT-12) is one of the elite units within the Naval Special Warfare Command, tasked with providing maritime mobility and direct action support to Navy SEALs and other special operations forces. Based in Coronado, California, SBT-12 specializes in coastal infiltration, riverine warfare, and high-speed maritime operations using advanced combat craft like the Combatant Craft Medium (CCM) and Combatant Craft Heavy (CCH). Members of SBT-12, known as SWCCs (Special Warfare Combatant-Craft Crewmen), are trained in navigation, heavy weapons, and stealth operations—often operating under the cover of darkness. Their mission is to transport SEALs into and out of hostile environments while providing precision fire support when needed. SBT-12’s readiness, adaptability, and teamwork embody the Navy’s ethos of “Silent Professionals,” playing a crucial role in global maritime special operations and ensuring dominance in littoral and riverine combat zones.
