2nd ANGLICO Marines | Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company "Lightning from the Sky, Thunder from the Sea" The 2nd ANGLICO Marine Unit is a group of highly trained, elite Marines based in Camp Lejeune, South Carolina, that specializes in the Infantry, Artillery, and Communications MOS fields. ANGLICO Marines are trained to operate in small, highly adaptable teams that can integrate with friendly ground, air, and naval forces during complex combat operations. ANGLICO stands for Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company. The primary mission of an ANGLICO unit is to coordinate and integrate supporting arms, including, but not limited to, close air support (CAS), naval surface fire support (NSFS), artillery, mortars, and other joint fires, to maximize the combat effectiveness of supported units. ANGLICO Marines collaborate with the Marine Air-Ground Task Force to deliver high-intensity, devastating firepower via close air support (CAS) in order to neutralize hostile forces in the region.
