Description
2nd Line Infantry Regiment "Crown Prince" "𝐷𝑒𝑟 𝐾𝑟𝑜𝑛𝑝𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑧 𝑏𝑒𝑠𝑖𝑡𝑧𝑡" Having originally been constructed in 1682 under the name Degenfeld on foot by Elector Max Emanuel for the Kurbayerische Armee, it was later renamed to 2. Linien-Infanterie Regiment "Kronprinz" in the 19th Century. As Line Infantry, this regiment stood as the backbone of the army, primarily composed of brave soldiers willing to give their all on the battlefield, even through the fiery blazes of cannon fire, and the air filled smoke of musket volleys that would rain down upon them, these men fought to the bitter end proving a strong barrier of defense for the army.
