PHILIPPINE MARINE CORPS: Each of the four Marine Brigades in the Philippine Marine Corps is principally in charge of different operations and doctrines pertaining to gathering intelligence, conducting reconnaissance, and conducting amphibious and coastal patrol missions for both inter-island and coastal operations. The Corps isn't a second army on land. In contrast to the Marine Corps, which is an expeditionary force that focuses on arriving from the sea and has integrated aviation and logistics capabilities, the Army is designed specifically for land campaigns and weighs more when it arrives.
