Description
The Children of the Moonlight is an ancient and secretive organization with origins believed to trace back to 641 BCE, though evidence of a significant reformation circa 1771 suggests the group operates in cycles rather than as a single unbroken lineage. The organization is devoted to an entity known as the Goddess of the Moonlight, whose true nature, form, and intentions remain entirely unknown to outside parties. Authority within the group is held by a singular figure known as The Saint a chosen vessel believed to have been personally blessed by the Goddess herself. The title is not elected nor inherited by blood, but passed down through divine selection, with each Saint regarded as an extension of the Goddess's will on Earth. Despite its ancient roots and structured leadership, the full scope of the Children of the Moonlight's purpose, reach, and capabilities remains deeply obscured. Only fragmented records and secondhand accounts exist.
