The Green Mountain Boys takes place in 2028, after the suspension of the Constitution and the issuing of martial law in the remaining United States after the Russian biological attack and subsequent invasion of the continental United States. 2nd Amendment citizens and Vermont National Guardsmen who felt betrayed by the nation repealing it's national values would defect to form the Green Mountain Boys, a irregular force that would have itself based in the Vermont forests.
