✦▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬๑👑๑▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬✦ The Grand Duchy of Moravia was established in the direct aftermath of the Austrian Empire's defeat in 1805, following the peace treaty—known as the Peace of Pressburg—concluded after the Battle of Austerlitz. Under the terms of this treaty, Austria was compelled to cede vast territories and accept fundamental changes to the political landscape of Central Europe. One consequence was the weakening of Austrian control over its hereditary lands, including Moravia. The creation of the new state was formally finalized in 1806, when Moravia became part of Napoleon's broader European order, much like other states established during that period.
