Description
Chartered on the fourth Tuesday of November, 1862, the Grand Lodge of Ridgeway No. 33 stands as the region’s oldest active fraternal chapter. Founded by the territory's early civic architects and surveyors, the lodge originally met in a modest timber structure before dedicating its permanent home in 1892. Though the lodge eventually transitioned its active meetings to the more modern Ridgeway Masonic Hall, the original 1892 temple remains a preserved landmark of the order’s deep local roots. Today, the brethren of No. 33 continue to guard their centuries-old traditions, focusing their contemporary efforts on the preservation of esoteric history, strict ritual excellence, and the moral self-development of its members.
