The reason the title of Prince was used instead of Koenig, was to insult the King of Denmark-Norway and to praise the German Princes who were against Napoleon. The award was originally given to the 'Life Hunters' who fought in the revolution, but was then later altered to include "any military service done with honor and merit for the Head-of-State of Gamergrad. ✦▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬✦ There are 6 ranks within the order, with lowest to highest being: Knight, Officer, Commander, Grand Commander, Knight with Grand Cross and Grandmaster.
