Description
💣𝑳𝑬 𝑹𝑬𝑮𝑰𝑴𝑬𝑵𝑻 𝑫𝑬 𝑭𝑬𝑹 💣 The 1er Cuirassiers, eldest of France’s armored cavalry, were the mailed fist of Napoleon’s battlefield thunder. Forged in the crucible of the Ancien Régime and tempered by Revolution, they rode forth beneath the Emperor’s eagles as living symbols of shock and steel, striking terror into infantry lines unwise enough to stand firm. They were not cavalry of mere skirmish or pursuit, but the hammer that broke armies. When Napoleon required the ground to tremble and his enemies to wither beneath the onrush of armored men, it was to the cuirassiers he turned. At Austerlitz, they swept across the Pratzen Heights, their charge crashing through the Russian Guard. At Wagram, their massed squadrons helped stave off annihilation, hurling themselves again and again into Austrian guns - yet ever they advanced, grim and relentless, embodying the brutal majesty of Napoleonic battle.
