Description
An undeniably ruthless force, and as his influence grew, the existence of a more secretive order operating in the New World came forth. These men, able to operate outside of typical command and colonial courts, had a strict mandate: identify smuggling routes, quell public disorder, stamp out corruption, and most importantly, execute any enemies of the state on sight without backlash. No colors were presented to identify these men. No Gendarmarie were found to be assigned to them. Portmasters, clerks, and shipwrights suspected of any ill intent were removed without appeal, imprisoned, or executed. Amongst all remaining portmen, those who had been thoroughly vetted, they referred to this unit as “The Quiet Arm.” After The Quiet Arm had cleared out the traitors within the company on behalf of the pious Adam I, Baptiste was transferred into it without ceremony.
