𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐒𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝘚𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘳 𝘙𝘰𝘵𝘢 Formed near the end of 1812, the Lifeguard Sappers were classified as jägers, although they wore white leather belts and white trousers in winter like the line infantry. The regiment was not classed to just build trenches, they were a elite crack marksman unit armed with their rifles. Regimental Honors Awarded: 4/12/20 -Capture of active enemy cannons under fire, turned the captured enemy cannons on the enemy, and defended the position the whole round.
