Description
The Royal Company of the Philippines was born in 1785 from the remains of the Royal Guipuzcoan Company of Caracas, originally founded in 1728. Historically, it dealt with the trading and protection of the route from Spain and the Americas, to the Philippines, having a monopoly on expensive trading goods from China, Japan and India. With Francisco Cabarrús, creator of the bank of San Carlos, one of the great financiers of Spain during the final years of the 18th century, as the director, the Royal Company saw much success in the East Indies trade, and helped finance various enterprises of the Crown. It also had a wide variety of vessels and warships serving under its flag, with officers of the Spanish Royal Navy being in command of them. Will you take up arms and join the RCF fleet?
