Description
FOXHOUND is a secret unit specializing in covert infiltration operations, founded by Big Boss in 1971 after the dissolution of the CIA FOX unit a year earlier. Although its function has evolved over the years, FOXHOUND has specialized in solitary, secret infiltration, to deal with local revolutions, regional complications and world armed activities in "unauthorized" combat zones too politically sensitive to intervene by conventional means. Its agents have also been trained to perform various missions that have been assigned in secret, to the extent that they have been determined modern versions of the ninja. All of its members were hardened battlefield veterans, with many coming from a mercenary background.
