The 2nd battalion, King’s regiment, Long Range Pen' Groups also known as 'Chindits'. These special operations groups and attached Burma Rifles platoons advanced far behind enemy territory in the Crown colony of Burma. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ The Chindit Battalion serves in the Burma campaign. Their operations featured long marches through extremely difficult terrain, undertaken by underfed troops often weakened by diseases. We focus on the years 1943-1945, as the Allies surge forward trying to recapture the colony.
