𝟐𝐍𝐃 𝐑𝐄𝐆𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 ▬▬▬▬๑♔๑▬▬▬▬ "𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝐶𝑜𝑙𝑑𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑚 𝐺𝑢𝑎𝑟𝑑𝑠" The Coldstream Regiment of Foot Guards was founded in 1650 as Monck's Regiment of Foot, but was officially known as the Coldstream Guards in 1670. It is one of the oldest and most senior regiments in the British Army. The Coldstream Guards took part in numerous battles in the Napoleonic Wars, and earned distinction in the Battle of Waterloo, where they re-closed Hougoumont's gates, and Wellington himself considered the defence as one of the deciding factors of the battle.
