Description

The AFPFL is the leading Major Political Party in post-independence Union of Burma. Big Tent Center Party United with all ideologies from Left to the Right. Mottos: “For Freedom and Unity / လွတ်လပ်ရေးနှင့် စည်းလုံးရေးအတွက်” "“People’s Will, People’s Power, People’s Triumph / ပြည်သူ့စိတ်ဓာတ်၊ ပြည်သူ့အာဏာ၊ ပြည်သူ့အောင်ပွဲ”" Rooted in the wartime resistance movement against occupation. The AFPFL transitioned into a mass political front that championed Independence, Social Reform, National Unity and the driving force of Burma’s democracy and reconstruction. The League presented itself as the guardian of the people’s aspirations and the architect of Burma’s future.
