The Indiana General Assembly is the legislative branch of the state of Indiana. It is a bicameral legislature. and is composed of a lower house, the Indiana House of Representatives, which is comprised of twelve representatives, and which is presided over by the Speaker of the House. The upper house which is the Indiana Senate is comprised of six senators, and is presided over by the Lieutenant Governor acting as the President of the Senate.
