𝐕ä𝐫𝐦𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐅ä𝐥𝐭𝐣ä𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐤å𝐫ᅠ 𝐷𝑜𝑛𝑎𝑢𝑔𝑟𝑢𝑠𝑠! Danub Grass. Värmlands Fältjägarkår was formed in 1790 as a recruited collective. They were initially set up to defend the border with Danish-Norway and held in constant garrison in Karlstad. . They took part in the Danish-Swedish War of 1808-1809 and were subordinate to Närke-Värmland's regiment. In 1813 the regiment was sent to modern-day Germany to participate in the war against Napoleon and the Norwegian campaign in the summer of 1814 after returning home to Sweden.
