𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐘 "The Black Brunswickers" "The Black Horde" After having his lands annexed by the French client state, The Kingdom of Westphalia, the Duke of Brunswick appealed to the Austrian Empire to raise a corps of exiled Brunswickers as a freikorps, to fight alongside the Austrians in the war of the Fifth-Coalition. The Brunswickers had a fearsome reputation, clad in black to signify the mourning of the loss of their homeland.
