Ventura State Militia #606849708
Description
The Origin Story (1993) The year is 1993. Texas is reeling from a volatile political landscape, civil unrest, and a general feeling that the federal government has forgotten the small towns and rural communities of Ventura. Local infrastructure is strained, crime is creeping outward from the major hubs, and the people feel exposed. Seeing the gap in community safety, a core group of local Texans comprising retired veterans, mechanics, farmers, and family men came together in the sweltering heat of May 1993. They didn't want to start a war; they wanted to protect their backyards. Thus, the Ventura State Militia was born. The founders laid down a strict code: We are a shield, not a sword. The VSM was established not to overthrow the government or terrorize the populace, but to act as a neighborhood watch with teeth filling the gaps where local law enforcement couldn't or wouldn't step in.
