Description

[ HUMAN SPACE SETTLEMENT INITIATIVE ] After the creation of a successful Lunar base, and a long discussion by the United Nations, they agreed to found the Human Space Settlement Initiative, or HSSI. The mission of this initiative is to explore and help settle humans on foreign planets using newly discovered light-speed travel. The Chairman was elected by the UN Security Council to lead the operation. If they succeeded, humanity could expand and settle new planets. If they failed, it would be a major set back. The Initiative would be a military-led operation. Their plans begin with their first project. That being "Project: New Dawn." New Dawn's objective is set up a secure settlement on a remote planet named Gelidus Prime, a fully frozen over moon covered in ice and snow. The goal is to have a self-sustaining settlement in a decade. This must be achieved by terraforming Gelidus, but given the hostility of the planet, it will be a difficult task. "A new tomorrow for humanity."
