Hello! If you LOVE the Titanic like most people I would recommend joining. Here's some interesting facts. _________________________________________________ -1517 People died from the wreck. -706 survived. -2,223 people were on the Titanic - July 1908 _ White Star's owners agreed on the design for the news ships that were to be built by Harland and Wolff. -11:40 PM, APR. 14 1912 _ Titanic hit an iceberg. Few believed the damage was serious, and lifeboats were launched with empty seats. -2:20 AM, APR.15, 1912 _ Titanic sank. Only one lifeboat returned for survivors. others feared the weight of more people would sink them, so they stayed away. -MAY 31, 2009 _ Millvina Dean, the last survivor from the Titanic, died. She had sailed on the ship as two month old baby. -29 boilers were needed to power Titanic. -Many thought the ship was "unsinkable". -1 member of staff for 14 3rd class passengers. - total of 53 kids died. 52 being 3rd class passengers.
