中华民国, Zhōnghuá Mínguó was established 1 January 1912 following the Xinhai Revolution, which overthrew the Manchuiran-led Qing dynasty and ended almost 2000 years of China's imperial history. After is foundation, President Sun Yat Sen was forced to resign by beiyang warlords such as Yuan ShiKai. Yuan then went on to establish his Empire of China halting the progress of revolution. Many figures in china such as Long Yun formed the National protection army to stop the cycle of Imperial rule. After Yuan's death china split into area's led by warlords, most famous ones includes Zhan ZuoLin and Feng GuoZhang. While Sun in guangdong formed the National Republic Of China, aiming to unit china under his principle of three people 三民主义. Unfortunatly, after his sudden death, Chiang took over and completed his Northern Expedition and united china.
