Description
THIS IS THE OFFICIAL GROUP OF THE FACTION OF NARGOTHROND FOR WAR OF THE JEWELS Hidden beneath the green hills of the High Faroth, Nargothrond was the secret kingdom of Finrod Felagund, fairest and wisest of the princes of the Noldor. With the aid of Dwarves, he delved vast halls beside the river Narog, whose gates were unseen and whose pillars shone like living stone. Light of gems and silver flowed through its chambers, and the voices of Elves echoed in songs of peace and power. Long did Finrod rule in wisdom, and none equaled his valor or his grace. But after his death, pride grew in the hearts of his people, and Túrin Turambar counseled open war, breaking the secrecy that had guarded them. Then came Glaurung the Golden, fire-breathing and cruel, who shattered the gates, devoured the brave, and turned the fair halls into ruin. Thus perished Nargothrond, greatest of the hidden realms, remembered forever in sorrow and song.
