Description

The Separate Tank Regiment was a Cold War tank regiment of the Group of Soviet Forces in Germany's Guards Tank Army. It was initially tasked with defending the East German Baltic coast. It earlier was called Separate Tank Brigade it then became Separate Tank Regiment later on. The regiment then was disbanded.
