Description
Finnish Life Guards Regiment (circa 1811) An elite infantry unit of the Russian Imperial Guard, formed from Finnish soldiers after the annexation of Finland. They served as a symbol of loyalty to the Tsar, combining regional heritage with Guard discipline. The regiment performed ceremonial duties in Saint Petersburg and fought with distinction in major campaigns of the 19th century.
