[Background] People in the Ether can hardly be considered humans. They are viewed as Demons, monstrous hellish creatures granted an unholy divinity by the edge of reality. In the Ether, peoples’ imaginations and mindsets define the uniqueness of their abilities, with the most powerful Ethereals posing as gods. We developed independent militaries when both melee and eventually ranged weapons of all classes and sizes made their way into the ether like other objects. We rebuilt them and purified their infusion with Ethereal energy, and we trained our own specialists with both melee weapons and ranged firearms, both using the void to wield their weapons with inhuman proficiency
