Description

The Saemaul Movement, also known as the New Village Movement, was a national development campaign in South Korea that began in the 1970s. Its main goal was to improve rural communities by encouraging people to work hard, help one another, and rely on themselves. Through cooperation and strong leadership, the Saemaul Movement played an important role in Korea’s rapid economic and social development.
