Description
The SCP Foundation is a fictional organization documented by the web-based collaborative- fiction project of the same name. Within the universe of the SCP Foundation, the organization is responsible for locating and containing individuals, entities, locations, and objects that violate natural law (referred to as SCPs, with SCP standing for "Secure, Contain, Protect"). The origins of the SCP Foundation are shrouded in secrecy, with various stories contributing to a rich, non-linear narrative. Founded at an undisclosed point in history, the Foundation operates beyond jurisdiction, empowered by a worldwide coalition of governments to operate without any public knowledge, tasked with maintaining the masquerade of a normal world. The Foundation's vast archive of SCPs ranges from the mundane to the cosmically significant, and each SCP is subject to rigorous classification, containment procedures, and research. The SCP Foundation employs an array of scientists, and military personnel.
