Honorary Oberst: OPEN Regimental Chaplain: OPEN 𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐘 "The Fatherland's Shield" "The Fatherland’s Shield calls us to new Events" German line infantry from the Bohemian territory. At the battle of As pern-Essling, the regiment attacked the burning village of As pern, and drove the French out, which led to Archduke Charles giving the regiment personal recognition and its nickname. Grenadiers were considered to be the most elite line-infantry units of an army. With not only a campaign veteran requirement, but additionally a height requirement, the grenadiers were towering men who held high skills in marksmanship.
