Description
Known as the Minneapolis, St. Paul and Sault Ste. Marie Railroad prior to 1961, the SOO Line is a class one railroad based in the Upper Midwest with trackage in North and South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois and Montana. With operations set in the mid-1970s, the SOO was in a rather interesting era transitioning between first-generation power and new EMD and GE locomotives resulting in particular lashups leading trains. This group uses both new and old power to haul various trains all over its system in order to deliver needed freight.
